Simply Matched Boxing (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, why, and what your rights are. We’ve kept it plain and honest, because the simplest summary is that we collect very little and we don’t share it or track you.
WHO WE ARE
Simply Matched Boxing is the data controller for information collected through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us through the contact form on this site.
WHAT WE COLLECT, AND WHEN
There are only two ways this website collects information about you.
The first is the fighter sign-up form. If you apply to fight with us, we collect the details you enter: your name, email, phone number, date of birth, weight class, fighting record, gym or club, hometown, social media link, and anything you write in the message field. These details are sent to us by email so we can consider your application and arrange suitable matches. They are not stored in a database on this website.
The second applies only if you are under 18. Our sign-up form requires a parent or guardian to provide their name, relationship to you, email, phone number, and explicit consent before an under-18 application can be submitted. We do this so that no young person’s application is ever processed without a responsible adult’s knowledge and agreement. For under-18 applicants, we direct any reply to the parent or guardian, not to the young person.
We do not run an active mailing list at this time. If you see a newsletter sign-up field on the site, please note it is not yet operational and does not currently collect or store your email.
WHY WE’RE ALLOWED TO USE IT (LAWFUL BASIS)
For adult fighter applications, our lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in considering and arranging boxing matches you have asked to be part of. For applicants under 18, we rely on the consent of the parent or guardian. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, and we will delete your details.
WHO SEES YOUR INFORMATION
Your information is emailed to the promoter at Simply Matched Boxing and is seen only by the people running the events. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not pass it to any third party for their own purposes. Our website does not load any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and does not send your browsing data to any outside company.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep fighter application details only for as long as we need them to consider your application and arrange matches, after which they are deleted. If your application doesn’t lead anywhere and you’d like your details removed sooner, just ask.
COOKIES
This website uses one functional cookie, and only on the fighter sign-up page. Its sole purpose is to refill the form with your answers if you make an error while submitting, so you don’t have to type everything again. We do not use cookies to track you, build a profile of you, or follow you across other websites. No other pages on the site set a cookie.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it’s wrong, to have it deleted, and to withdraw consent for us to use it. To exercise any of these, contact us through the website. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
CHILDREN
We take particular care with anyone under 18. We do not process a young person’s application without a parent or guardian’s consent, captured at the point of applying, and we keep an adult in the loop for any follow-up. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern about your child’s information, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top.
